Let’s Start Recipe

These sweets will turn out soft, flavorful, and absolutely mouthwatering! This is a very simple recipe that you can try at home. Don’t forget to like, share and comment on the post if you enjoy the recipe.
Step 1: Roasting Ghee and Suji
Start by taking **¾ cup ghee** (clarified butter). Add half of it to a pan and heat it on medium flame.Let the ghee melt completely. For sweets, ghee is essential, as it gives the perfect taste and texture.
Now, add **½ cup fine suji (semolina)**. If you don’t have fine suji, you can use coarse suji, but blend it in a mixer to make it finer.Roast the suji on low flame for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Once done, add **2 cups wheat flour** to the pan. Mix it well with the suji and ghee. Continue roasting on low flame, stirring regularly, until the mixture is golden brown.
Step 2: Adding Ghee and Dry Fruits
If the mixture seems a little dry, add **2 tbsp more ghee** to it. Stir well to mix. After adding ghee, continue roasting on low flame until the mixture turns golden brown. At this stage, I’m adding **1 tbsp watermelon seeds** for extra flavor. You can replace this with any dry fruit of your choice or skip it entirely.
Roast the mixture for **12-15 minutes**, stirring continuously. The color should turn a nice golden brown.
Once it reaches this stage, turn off the gas. The pan will still be hot, so it may continue cooking slightly. Transfer the mixture to a plate to cool down at room temperature.
Step 3: Cooling and Adding Sugar
After **half an hour** the mixture should have cooled down.
Now, add **½ tsp cardamom powder** and **¾ cup powdered sugar** (you can grind sugar in a blender to make powder).
Make sure the mixture is cool before adding the sugar, as hot mixture will make the sugar melt and become liquid. Stir well to combine everything. You can adjust the sugar quantity according to your taste. I used **¾ cup** sugar, but feel free to increase it to 1 cup if you prefer a sweeter taste.

Step 4: Shaping the Sweets
Once the mixture is well-mixed and smooth, take small portions in your hands.Roll the portions into smooth balls and then flatten them into round sweets.
For decoration, add some pistachio slivers and watermelon seeds on top. Press them gently into the sweets.
You can replace these toppings with any dry fruits of your choice, or you can skip the toppings entirely if you prefer a simpler look.
Step 5: Final Sweets
Here’s how the sweets look after shaping them! They’re soft, smooth, and full of flavor. You won’t believe that these sweets are made without condensed milk, mawa, or sugar syrup. They’re that delicious and easy to make!
