Capsicum Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
1) 750grm Chicken
2) 3 medium sized onion
3) 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
4) 2 large sized Tomatoes
5) 1 tsp salt
6) 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
7) ¾ cup curd
8) ½ tsp garam masala
9) 1 tbsp dry Fenugreek leaves
10) 2 capsicum
11) some chopped coriander
12) oil for cooking
FOR Aromatic Masala :-
13) 1 tbsp fennel seeds
14) 2 tbsp coriander seeds
15) ½ tbsp peppercorns
16) 1 tbsp cumin
17) 4-5 dry red chillies
18) 5 green cardamom

Today, let’s make a delicious, spicy, and tangy **Capsicum Chicken** That’s perfect for a unique twist on your regular chicken recipes. Step 1: Preparing Chicken
Take **750 grams of chicken**, wash it well, and drain the water properly.
In a pan, add **2 tablespoons of oil** (you can adjust the amount as per your preference).Once the oil is hot, add **3 large chopped onions**.We don’t need to fry the onions too much, just soften them. Cook on **high flame** for about **2 minutes**.
Once the onions soften, add **2 teaspoons of ginger-garlic paste** and sauté it until the raw smell disappears.
Step 2: Cooking the Chicken
Now, add the chicken to the pan.
On **high flame**, sauté the chicken for **4-5 minutes** until its color changes and it releases its juices. The raw smell of the chicken will fade away.
Step 3: Adding Tomatoes and Cooking
Add **2 large tomatoes** roughly chopped.
Add **1 teaspoon salt** (adjust to taste).
Mix everything well. The salt will help cook the tomatoes quickly. The chicken will also release some water.
Now, reduce the gas to **medium-low heat** and let it cook for **10 minutes**. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
While the chicken is cooking, let’s prepare the spice mix for the dish.
Step 4: Preparing the Spice Mix
In a **mixer jar**, add:
1) 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
2) 2 tablespoons coriander seeds
3) 1/2 tablespoon black peppercorns
4) 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
5) 4-5 dried red chilies
6) 5 green cardamoms
Grind these into a fine powder.

Step 5: Cooking with Spices
By this time, the chicken will have cooked with the onions and tomatoes.
Add the freshly ground **spice powder** to the chicken.
Next, add **1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder** and **3/4 cup of yogurt**.
Stir the mixture well, lower the flame, and let it cook until the oil separates from the masala (spice mixture). This will take a few minutes.
Step 6: Adding Garam Masala and Other Ingredients
Once the oil separates, add:
1) 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2) 1 tablespoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
3) 2 large shimla mirch (capsicum)**, cut into large pieces.
4) 4-5 green chilies**, chopped (optional, can use red chilies for spiciness).
Mix everything well.
You don’t need to cook the shimla mirch too much; it should remain crunchy. So, cover the pan and let it cook for **2-3 minutes**.
Step 7: Final Touch and Serving
After cooking for a few minutes, turn off the gas.Add **finely chopped fresh coriander leaves** and give it a final stir.Your **Capsicum Chicken** is ready to serve!
