Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll Recipe

1) 1 kg chicken (cut into medium pieces)

2) 2 cups basmati rice (soaked for 30 minutes)

3) 3 large onions (thinly sliced)

4) 3 medium tomatoes (chopped)

5) 2–3 green chilies (slit)

6) 1 cup thick curd (yogurt)

7) 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

8) ½ cup fresh coriander leaves (chopped)

9) ¼ cup fresh mint leaves (chopped)

10) 4 tablespoons cooking oil / ghee

11) 2 tablespoons pulao masala or garam masala

12) 1 teaspoon red chili powder

13) 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

14) 1½ teaspoons coriander powder

15) 1 teaspoon cumin powder

16) 2 bay leaves

17) 4–5 green cardamoms

18) 1 black cardamom

19) 5–6 cloves

20) 1-inch cinnamon stick

21) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

22) 5 cups water (adjust as needed)

23) Salt (to taste)

Today, we’ll prepare a **delicious, spicy, and flavorful Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll**. It not only looks amazing but also tastes incredible. Along with it, we will also make a **special Tandoori Sauce** that pairs perfectly with this roll.

So, let’s start the recipe step by step.

Step 1: Marinating the Chicken

Take **½ kg boneless chicken**, cut into small pieces.

1) 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste

2) ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

3) ½ tsp black pepper powder

4) ½ tsp garam masala powder

5) ½ tsp red chili powder (or to taste)

6) ½ tsp crushed red chili

7) ½ tsp roasted cumin powder

8) ½ tsp chicken masala powder

9) 1 tsp chaat masala

10) 1 tsp dark soy sauce

11) 1 tbsp yogurt

12) Juice of ½ lemon

Mix everything well. Cover and let it **marinate for 30 minutes**.

Step 2: Preparing the Dough for Paratha

1) 3 cups flour

2) ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

3) 1 tsp sugar

4) ½ tsp baking powder

5) 1 tbsp yogurt

6) 1–2 tbsp oil (or ghee)

Mix well, then gradually add water to make a **soft dough**.Knead until smooth.

Add 1–2 tbsp oil again and knead for a few more minutes.Cover and rest the dough for **20–25 minutes**.

Step 3: Cooking the Chicken

Heat 1–2 tbsp oil in a pan.Add the marinated chicken (optional: add a pinch of orange-red food color for a nice look).

Cook on **high flame for 2–3 minutes**. Then lower the flame, cover, and cook for **7–8 minutes**.

Do not add extra water. The chicken will cook in its own juices.Once soft and tender, increase the flame and dry out any excess water.Turn off the heat and set the chicken aside.

Step 4: Rolling the Paratha

After resting, divide the dough into small portions.Make smooth balls and roll them thin like chapati.Cook on a hot tawa. Flip after 1 minute until golden spots appear.

The paratha should puff up slightly. Make 5–6 parathas and keep them covered.

Step 5: Preparing Tandoori Sauce

1) 1 cup fresh cream

2) 5–6 tbsp tomato ketchup

3) 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce (or chili sauce)

4) 1–2 tbsp mayonnaise

Mix well. Adjust according to your taste.Your **homemade tandoori sauce** is ready!

Step 6: Preparing Egg-Coated Parathas

1) ½ tsp chili flakes

2) A pinch of salt

On a hot pan, spread some oil. Dip a paratha in the egg mixture and cook on medium flame.

Flip and cook from both sides until golden.Repeat for the remaining parathas.

Step 7: Making the Salad Filling

1) 2–3 medium onions (sliced thinly)

2) Fresh mint leaves (chopped)

3) Fresh coriander leaves (chopped)

4) Juice of ½ lemon

5) 1 cucumber (sliced)

6) 1 tomato (deseeded and chopped)

Mix well. (Optional: add capsicum or cabbage).

Step 8: Assembling the Chicken Tikka Roll

Take one egg-coated paratha.Add chicken tikka pieces in the center.

Top with salad and drizzle with **tandoori sauce**.Fold into a roll and secure with a toothpick.

Step 9: Serving

Your **Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll** is ready!It’s spicy, flavorful, and very easy to prepare. Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.
