Crispy Fish Fry Recipe
Ingredients
For Marinating the Fish:
* **600 grams fish** (cleaned and drained)*
**½ teaspoon salt** (adjust to taste)*
**1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste***
**7-8 green chilies** (crushed or chopped)*
**Juice of half a lemon**
For the Crispy Coating:
* **5 tablespoons chickpea flour (besan)***
**3 tablespoons rice flour***
**1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder***
**½ teaspoon garam masala powder***
**½ teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)***
**¾ teaspoon chili flakes** (adjust to your spice preference)*
**½ teaspoon chaat masala powder***
**2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder** (for color, you can use regular red chili powder)*
**Salt** (adjust to taste)
For Frying:
Medium oil (for frying)

Today, we are making a **super tasty, spicy, and crispy Fish Fry**. This fish fry has an amazing taste and is very crispy. You can serve it with **dal chawal** or enjoy it as a **starter**. It’s a **delicious and easy-to-make recipe**. Let’s get started with the recipe!
Step :🐟 Marinating the Fish:
First, take **600 grams of fish** (you can use boneless or with bones, your choice). Clean it properly and drain all the water.
Add the following ingredients for marination:
½ teaspoon salt** (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
7-8 green chilies** (crushed or finely chopped)
Juice of half a lemon
Mix everything thoroughly so that all the fish pieces are well coated with the marinade.
Let it marinate for **1 hour** (if you have time, you can marinate it longer for more flavor).
Step 2 : 🌶️ Making the Crispy Coating:
In a plate, add:
5 tablespoons chickpea flour (besan)**
3 tablespoons rice flour** (this makes the fish extra crispy)
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder**
½ teaspoon garam masala powder**
½ teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
¾ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust according to your spice preference)
½ teaspoon chaat masala powder
2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder (for color, you can also use regular red chili powder)
Salt, according to taste
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to form a nice, flavorful crispy coating for the fish.
Step 3 : 🐟 Coating the Fish:
Once the fish has marinated, take each piece and dip it into the prepared coating mixture.
Gently press and coat the fish on all sides, making sure the coating sticks well. This will ensure a crispy outer layer.
After coating all the pieces, let them sit for 2-3 minutes so the coating sticks well to the fish.
Step 4 : 🐟 Frying the Fish:
Heat **medium oil** in a pan on **medium flame**.* Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the coated fish pieces into the oil.

Fry them for **4-5 minutes on one side**, then flip the fish pieces over and cook the other side for another **4-5 minutes**.
Make sure the fish is fried **crispy** and **golden** on both sides.
After **8-10 minutes**, your fish should be perfectly crispy and golden brown.
Step 5 : 🧑🍳 Serving the Fish:
* Once the fish is fried, remove it from the oil and drain the excess oil.
Serve the crispy fish hot, either with **dal chawal**, **salad**, or **green chutney**.
