Let’s Start Recipe
Today, we are going to prepare a very interesting, crispy, and tasty Chicken Popsicles recipe. These are perfect for festivals during , and you can even store them in the deep freezer for 2-3 weeks. Chicken popsicles are a favorite snack, especially for kids. Let’s quickly start the recipe!
Step 1: Preparing the Chicken Stuffing
Start by taking 200 grams of boneless chicken. Boil it by adding 1/2 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste. After boiling, shred the chicken into small pieces. Add three medium-sized boiled and grated potatoes to the chicken. Next, chop a small capsicum, a small carrot, and a small onion finely. Add a handful of chopped fresh coriander as well. You can also add other vegetables of your choice if desired.
Now, add the following spices:
1 teaspoon (or to taste) of crushed red chilies
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
3/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Juice of 1/2 lemon (or 1 tablespoon white vinegar)
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. The mixture should form a dough-like consistency. Keep it aside for later.
Step 2: Preparing the Bread
Take a slice of white bread (preferably fresh). Cut off the edges and flatten it using a rolling pin. If the bread is not fresh, you can steam it for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until it becomes soft. Once flattened, place the prepared chicken stuffing in the center of the bread and spread it evenly on all sides. Be sure to apply an appropriate amount—not too much or too little.
Step 3: Shaping the Popsicles
Now, roll the bread around the chicken stuffing tightly to form a roll. Insert an ice cream stick into the center to shape it like a popsicle. Roll it again to seal it completely. Repeat the process for all the chicken popsicles. You should be able to make about 10-12 popsicles.
Step 4: Preparing the Coating Mixture
For the coating, in a mixing bowl, add:
1/2 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red chilies
1/2 teaspoon oregano (optional)
Mix all the ingredients well, then slowly add water to form a medium-consistency batter. The batter should neither be too thick nor too thin, and there should be no lumps.
Step 5: Coating the Popsicles
Take each chicken popsicle, dip it into the flour batter, and coat it thoroughly. Then, roll it in breadcrumbs. You can make the breadcrumbs at home by grinding fresh bread. If you prefer, you can also use store-bought breadcrumbs. Coat all the popsicles in this manner.
Step 6: Freezing the Popsicles
Once all the popsicles are coated, place them on a tray and put them in the deep freezer. Let them freeze for about 1-2 hours until they are well-hardened. After freezing, you can store them in a zip lock bag or an airtight container for 2-3 weeks.

Step 7: Frying the Chicken Popsicles
To fry, heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the frozen chicken popsicles into the pan. Do not touch them for the first minute. Let them fry on medium-high heat until they turn golden brown and crispy. This should take about 4-5 minutes. As the stuffing inside is already cooked and the bread is soft, we just need to crisp them up.
Step 8: Serving the Chicken Popsicles
Once the popsicles are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the pan and place them on absorbent paper to soak up any excess oil. Serve the chicken popsicles hot, with tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, or any dip of your choice.
